Rural Health Care, Inc. operates six federally qualified community health centers in Central South Dakota with the Administration office located in Fort Pierre.

Rural Health Care, Inc operates clinics in the communities of Onida, Highmore, Gettysburg, Presho, Murdo, and Fort Pierre.  These communities are provided with committed medical providers and staff to assure access to quality health care.

As federally funded clinics, RHCI has the opportunity to participate in several programs sponsored by the Bureau of Primary Health Care.  Most recently, the clinics have participated in the Health Disparities Collaboratives.  These are initiatives supported by HRSA began as strategies to more effectively manage chronic diseases.  Due to the sweeping success of these programs, community health centers across the nation are moving to an initiative to provide all primary care in this collaborative care model.

RHCI clinics and their providers are dedicated to the communities they serve.  Community health fairs, American Cancer Society functions, school education, EMT educations and public education are just a few of the things the clinicians participate in to better server their communities.
